Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale (hereinafter "T&Cs") govern access to and use of the Look Like Me service, available at looklikeme.app, as well as any purchase made on that service.

Using the service constitutes unconditional acceptance of these T&Cs. If you do not accept these terms, you must stop using the service.

2. Access to the Service

Look Like Me offers:

  • Free access to the resemblance analysis feature for non-logged-in visitors (immediate result, no history or saved data).
  • Account access to keep analysis history, launch resemblance challenges, and access advanced features.
  • Paid packs (offers described on the Pricing page) giving access to additional analyses.

Access to the service requires an internet connection. The publisher does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and reserves the right to interrupt or modify the service at any time, particularly for maintenance purposes.

3. Pricing, Payment and Invoicing

Pack prices are shown in euros inclusive of all taxes (VAT included) on the Pricing page.

Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Look Like Me does not store any banking data. The purchase is final upon payment confirmation.

A transaction receipt is sent by email to the address associated with the account. Transaction data (amount, date, plan) is retained for 10 years in accordance with French legal accounting requirements.

4. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content whose performance has begun with the consumer's prior agreement and express waiver of the right of withdrawal.

By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge having been informed of this exception and expressly consent to it in order to immediately benefit from the purchased analysis credits.

5. Personal Data

The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Look Like Me, you acknowledge having read this policy.

Photos: uploaded photos are processed exclusively for resemblance analysis and are never used for commercial or profiling purposes. Guest visitors' photos are kept for up to 24 hours to display their result, then automatically deleted.

6. Photos and Biometric Data

Uploaded photos constitute biometric data within the meaning of the GDPR (Art. 9). By uploading a photo, you expressly consent to its processing by Look Like Me for resemblance analysis purposes.

You warrant that:

  • you own the photo or have obtained the consent of the persons depicted;
  • you will not upload photos of minors unless you are their legal guardian;
  • you will not use the service for illegal, discriminatory or dignity-violating purposes.

Look Like Me reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content and to suspend any account in breach of these rules.

7. Limitation of Liability

Look Like Me is an entertainment service based on artificial intelligence. Resemblance scores are statistical indicators, not biological or genealogical truths.

The publisher shall not be held liable for:

  • errors or inaccuracies in analysis results;
  • the use you make of the results obtained;
  • service interruptions due to external causes (network outage, cloud-hosting maintenance, etc.);
  • any indirect damage resulting from use of the service.

8. Intellectual Property

All site content (code, text, visuals, logo, architecture) is the exclusive property of the publisher or its partners, and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Any reproduction, modification, distribution or exploitation, even partial, without prior written authorisation is strictly prohibited.

The photos you upload remain your property. By submitting them, you grant Look Like Me a non-exclusive licence, limited in time (retention period described in the privacy policy), solely for the purpose of performing the service.

9. Applicable Law and Disputes

These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, you may refer your complaint free of charge to a consumer mediator. List of approved mediators: economie.gouv.fr/mediation-conso.
